Angers is situated in Western France and has a population of approx 200,000.
In addition to the massive Chateau d'Angers, the city is also noted for the impressive twin spires of the twelfth-century Cathedral of Saint-Maurice. Musee des Beaux-Arts and Galerie David d'Angers are two of the most notable museums in Angers.
There is a large multi storey shopping centre in Angers that features some less expensive shops than the average boutique. Late open bars and clubs line the streets and Le Bolero is the most popular nightclub.
