A city with a long history, Constanta has many areas that are attractive and charming. It is also a centre of art and culture, with several museums and theatres: the archaeological museum has an important collection of ancient treasures discovered along the Black Sea coast.

Next to the city is Mamai, the largest of the Romanian beach resorts, with an 8 km long by about 100 m wide beach. The Mamaia Music Festival is hosted there every year.
