Programme profile
Only the first year of this programme is taught through English. Students will experience a full immersion into Italian language and culture, which will then prepare them to study years 2 and 3 mainly in Italian.
Students however do not need to know Italian, as an entry requirementm as this will be taught during the first year of the programme.
Fees are fixed with reference to family income.
Programme content
In the first year, students choose from the following subjects: Ancient and Modern Empires; Medieval Art; Historical Villas & Palazzos; Medieval History; Classical Archaeology; Greek-Roman Urbanism; Theory and Methods of Archaeology; Society and culture of Ancient Egypt; Latin; Italian Literature; Italian Cinema; Modern Italian History; Moral Philosophy; Theoretical Philosophy; Aesthetics; Italian Opera; Italian Theatre.
From the second year, students will specialise in ONE of:
- History
- Philosophy
- Cultural Heritage Studies
- Communication & Performing Arts.

Three A-Levels and three GCSEs
Six passes at Leaving Cert, including 2 x H5
