The Medical Faculty, at the Medical University of Sofia, is the oldest medical higher education institution in Bulgaria. It was established in 1918 as a Faculty of Medicine at the Sofia University. The university enrolls about 600 students every year, including about 150 foreign students, largely from Greece, Macedonia, India and the Middle East.
