Oulu University of Applied Sciences (formerly known as Oulu Polytechnic,) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Finland, with approximately 8,500 students.

The university, founded in 1992, has schools in Oulu, Oulainen and Raahe.It offers 30 degree programmes, three taught in English , in Schools in the following areas: Business and Information Management; Health and Social Care; Engineering and Business; Renewable natural Resources; Music, Dance and Media; Vocational Teacher Education.

Accommodation cannot be arranged for students by Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Accommodation is available either on the private housing market or in the halls of residence.The monthly rent for a room in a student hostel or halls of residence is around €170ヨ€270 and for a one-room flat €290ヨ€460.
