The University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova was founded in 1998, when it The Faculty of Medicine [founded only in 1970] of the University of Craiova was separated from the main university. The University of Craiova, which was founded in 1947, is one of the top 10 Rumanian Universities.
The University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova is currently structured into four faculties, all offering undergraduate, Master’s and PhD programmes: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing & Midwifery
