Programme profile
This is a new programme [launched 2011] . Students will learn to see anew the world and the environment around them and will learn to translate their experience into drawings, paintings, models and other means of artistic expression. They will learn to analyse and synthesise their experiences and findings into designs and design strategies. Throughout the programme, students will pay heed to the necessity for the use of renewable energy resources and the ecology of the built environment.
Each academic year, the curriculum aims to explore more and more complex issues and scales of design in themes such as: Design Principles; Private Space and Dwelling; Public Space and Place-Making; Urban Space and Urban Regeneration.
Students spend one semester abroad and attend at least one summer school abroad.
The programme has been developed in cooperation with Bahcesehir University Istanbul, which has wide experience of training architects in Europe, Asia and America

Entry Requirements
General Certificate of Education (with examination in 8 subjects where at least 3 are A-levels, alternatively 2 A-levels + 2 AS-levels. Subjects to include Maths
Leaving Certificate showing at least 6 subjects of which at least 2 Higher Level subjects (at least Grade H5).Subjects to include Maths.
