Programme profile
Umea Academy of Fine Arts is a part of the Arts Campus. In this programme, you will get a good insight to and understanding for the role of art in today's society and how it has evolved over time. Moreover, you practise your ability to analyze, debate and write about art from a critical point of view. However, the focus of the programme is on your own individual artistic expression>
Because a large part of the education consists of your own artistic work much responsibility lies on you as a student to, in consultation with your tutor, to plan your own studies. Each student has his or her own studio place and access to the school's well-equipped workshops and project rooms in wood, metal, plaster, bronze, graphic, photo, video and computer-based work.
