Programme profile

Econometrics is a growing field. It is about making companies run smoothly, increasing profit sustainably, predicting financial trends and understanding how people"s behaviour affects the market. It's also about dealing with wider economic issues: and crises. In today"s global economy, the harsh reality is that companies that don't excel in these matters simply won't make it to the top.

In the first two years, you take core courses integrating maths, statistics, economics and computer science. You learn practical techniques to solve economic problems, improve business practices, predict trends and so on, and you apply your knowledge in these areas to various other disciplines, such as marketing and finance. In your third year, you get the space to pursue your own interests: you choose your courses from an extended range of electives, and take the opportunity of a semester abroad.
