The programme combines theory (administrative organisation, accounting and finance, economics, law and information management) with personal development in areas such as practical communication and computer skills, teambuilding sessions and internships.

Students are guided by a system of close tutoring, with every student being assigned a personal mentor.

Programme content

Years 1 and 2:
In the foundation year, you will acquire a sound basis in the knowledge which you will need as a financial specialist. From the second year on, you will go much deeper in a wide range of financial aspects. You will look at economic relations, financial markets, currency markets, investments, risk management, marketing, as well as international laws and regulations in the fields of economics, finance and accounting, from an international. Subjects such as general economics, financial management, management accounting and control and management information systems will deepen your general business knowledge base.

Years 3 and 4:
In the third year you will get a more profound knowledge in the subjects of accounting, auditing and research skills. In your elective course, you will then concentrate on a sub-topic of your choice. You can then choose to either study a specific topic in-depth, or broaden your range of courses. If you choose the in-depth study, we offer minors, such as human resource accounting, project management or finance. In case you would rather broaden your knowledge, you can spend half a year outside your direct discipline and study areas such as marketing or the hospitality business. Or take modules at another University of Applied Sciences. In the third year you will have a six-month internship. There will be a further internship in association with your graduation research project in the fourth year. Both these internships are spent in a country other than your home country.
