Programme profile
The main emphasis in this programme is on issues and challenges in the field of International Management, Marketing and Finance. Students are trained in those management skills that enable them to operate in an international company. In addition, students develop a number of professional skills that will enable them to deal with issues such as preparing and evaluating a company"s international strategy, conducting market research and drawing up an international marketing and sales plan or organising the company"s international activities.
The university's project-based programme will enable you to develop your communication, team working and leadership skills in a truly international & intercultural setting, in which you are closely monitored by a personal tutor. Two compulsory internships will give you the opportunity to get familiar with the real business world.
Programme content
Year 1: a thorough grounding in the core subjects: International Marketing, Business Research, International Management, Finance, Export and Economics & Law, Business Process Management, Consumer Behaviour, E-business.
Years 2 & 3: Specific modules include: Strategic Business Planning, International Marketing, Financial Accounting, Business Communications, Management, International Law, Intercultural & Human Resources Management, Statistics, E-Commerce & Supply Chain Management. You will do an international marketing project based on a simulated case study. You also do a business placement which can be done abroad. In addition, you work in teams on an assignment, as a consultant for a real company.
Year 4: You have to specialise in either Management or Marketing, offered at an advanced level. There is an internship in an international company and you write your Thesis.

Entry Requirements
2 A/S Levels and 4 GCSEs OR relevant BETEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.
Five passes at Leaving Cert (minimum 200 points) OR relevant QQi/FETAC Level 5. Subjects to include Maths.
