Programme profile

This programme, run at Arnhem Business School, follows a broad-based curriculum in business and management. During your studies, you gain a thorough theoretical grounding in all areas of business management and then apply this knowledge in various practical team projects and assignments.

The focus of the programme is the acquisition of real world experience. So part of your study will be spent abroad at one of our many international partner universities. You will also do a work placement that will give you valuable experience in the corporate world. As a result of these experiences, your language and communication skills will improve vastly, as will your knowledge of other cultures

Programme content

Year 1: Business Communication; Business Plans; Economics; Logistics; Management; Accounting and Finance ; Management Information; Marketing; Operational Plans; Research & Statistics; a Foreign Language

After the foundation laid in your first year, you specialise from year 2 in one of the following:

- Finance
- Management
- Marketing & Sales
- Supply Chain Management

In this specialisation your fields of expertise will be: strategic management, performance management, finance, operations & reporting, governance, risk & compliance.

In this specialisation you learn how to advise companies about new developments and how to implement them. Examples of such new innovations are E-business and sustainability. You can also learn a second foreign language besides English: German, French, Dutch or Spanish. When you graduate you are qualified for a general management position in an international company.

Marketing & Sales
In Marketing & Sales you learn how businesses can expand their activities into new international markets. Subjects include: Entering new markets abroad, International account management, International sales and E-commerce. You also learn a second foreign language besides English: German, French, Dutch or Spanish.

Supply Chain Management
In supply chain management you are always weighing the customers’ needs, the operational possibilities and the financial consequences. You organise people and products to move at the right time in the right direction. Customer service and marketing are therefore key areas of this specialisation. Subjects also include sourcing, production, distribution and finance.

your third year comprise a semester abroad in a partner university and an internship related to your specialisation. This internship can also be spent in a company abroad.


The university doesn't currently offer a related Masters programme, taught through English

Entry Requirements

2 A/S Levels and 4 GCSEs OR relevant BETEC Level 3 Extended Diploma. Subjects to include Maths, preferably at AS or A2.

Subjects such as the following are recommended but not required: Accounting, Business, Economics and a Foreign Language.

Five passes at Leaving Cert (minimum 200 points) OR relevant QQi/FETAC Level 5. Subjects to include Maths.
