Interior Design is an articulated system where design elements such as space, the lighting design, materials, color schemes and furnishings all work together.

This programme aims to produce graduates who can contribute to design projects in different environments: first and foremost is the domestic household area, private and collective living spaces, public spaces (airports, ports, stations), public service areas (banks, post offices, hospitals, schools, museums and exhibition spaces); places for consumers (shops, bars, hotels) and lastly open spaces (squares, courtyards, and playgrounds.

- Interior Design
- Furniture Design
- Lighting Design

Programme content


During the first year, the student gains an understanding of the historical context of design, across different fields of art, fashion, communication, and architectural design. In the technical area, the student learns about materials, both natural and artificial, and the finishing processes used, with particular attention given to the perception of the surface material. The student is also introduces to the design process, including model building and technical drawing.

The second year involves a deeper understanding of the cultural and technical issues, developed during the first year. In addition, new areas of investigation and know-how are introduced in order to complete and expand the student"s horizons. For example, students are introduced to 3D CAD, Drawing Techniques and Interior Architecture. Students apply their knowledge and skills through the design of an industrial project.

In the third year, project design becomes the main theme and students learn to manage independently the development of a project. The students are pushed to become independent operators, to be able to make choices rationally and coherently, to present their work before a committee and to assume clear responsibilities.
