Programme profile


A thorough grounding in Politics, Economics and Law as well as in Social Sciences enables graduates to think internationally and transnationally, to analyse international political problems in a sophisticated way.Profound knowledge of international relations with local, regional, international as well as global focus are taught with regard to current developments and challenges.

Programme content


The degree provides students a solid grounding in the field, through taking modules such as “History of Doctrines and Political Ideas”, “European Institutions and Policy”, “Peace Studies and Security Policy” and “Economics of European Enlargement” and; furthermore, in Semester 4 - 5 optional modules, such as “Political Leadership”, “Competing Political and Economic Systems”, “Negotiations Strategies”, “State Aid and Industrial Policy”, “Globalisation and New Governance Systems” and “Voting Systems”.

In Semester 6 students will be given the opportunity to practically apply and broaden their gained knowledge while doing a work placement or a semester abroad. The final undergraduate dissertation in Semester  7 can be written in cooperation with a company, a political or a social institution.

 

Progression


The university does not currently offer a related Masters programme, taught through English.
