This programme deals with the political and historical aspects of minorities and multiculturalism in combination with courses in linguistics and multilingualism. The programme is for you, if you are interested in politics and culture and want to become an expert in the fields of minorities & multilingualism. There is also an opportunity to learn a minority language.
Programme content
Year 1: History of European Minorities; Introduction to Linguistics; Introduction to Minority Languages; Minorities & Multiculturalism; Multilingualism; Minor (elective)
Year 2: Minority Literacy and Literature; Research Methodology; Multilingualism and Education; Discrimination and Lifestyle- LBGT minorities; Cultural Heritage; Minor (elective)
Year 3: BA Thesis; Contemporary European Minorities; Intercultural Communication; Minor (elective)
Students spend a semester at a University abroad learning about a minority language
