Programme profile


This programme prepares you for a management career in sport and health management, with an emphasis on physical activity and lifestyle.

You learn to put health on the agenda of individuals, organisations and society at large.You develop influental skills and manage sports-related projects and organisations but you are also capable of offering advice and coaching to others. These broad competences are reflected in the programme. Therefore, you will acquire a wide range of competences in subjects like policy, entrepreneurship and marketing, together with subjects such as human behaviour and physical activity.

Programme content


In first year, you will develop professional competences by working on several projects for businesses or institutions (e.g. sport federations, governments). Supported by your teachers and fellow students, you will develop your sense of professional responsibility starting from day one. Sharing knowledge and experiences plays a major role.

In second year. you develop a strategic programme for an European city based on practical research. In the second semester you focus on creating and managing change during an internship. Your role is primarily to be a change agent. During the year you take courses on subjects such as marketing, sports development, management and organisation, organisational policy and consultancy.

In the final year you will work at a professional organisation for your graduation project. During this year you add practical value to the organisation by developing and implementing services and products that help the organisation to innovate. The three core values of sports (health, economy and social impact) are your starting point.

3 A-Levels (CCC) and 3 GCSEs, in 6 different subjects
