The gaming industry is booming business worldwide. The exceptional growth of this particular and highly technological sector has spurred a proportional increase in the demand for qualified and well-trained people. This programme provides an answer to this response The programme rests on five pillars: Arts Skills, 3D Computers Arts, Programming, Game Sciences and Integration.

This programme has been developed after several years of international research.. The curriculum was put together after extensive consultation with international studios, including Bgin, Digipen, Electronic Arts, Microsoft Game Studios. Playlogic and Streamline Studios.

The demanding nature of the industry: students are required to devote 60 hours a week to their work: ensures that this degree is not attainable for just any student. However, for those who succeed, they will have a cutting-edge qualification that will open many doors.

3D Arts Specialisation:
Year 2: Preproduction; 3D for Arts; 3D Animation; Programming for Artists; Integration Projects; Postproduction
Year 3: Postproduction; 3D Animation; Integration Projects; Portfolio & Presentation; Internship

Game Development Specialisation
Year 2: Graphics Programming; Programming; 3D for Games; Level Design; Integration Projects
Year 3: Tool Development; Platform Development; 3D for Games; Integration Projects; Portfolio & Presentation; Internship

The college does not currently offer a related Masters programme, taught through English

Entry Requirements


3 A-levels and 3 GCSEs

Leaving Certificate showing at least 6 subjects of which at least 2 Higher Level subjects (at least Grade H5), other subjects at least Grade D3, Subjects to include Maths.
