Programme profile

Today’s world is in your pocket or handbag. With your smartphone, tablet or laptop you can buy a product just as easily in America as you can in Asia or Amsterdam. Digital innovation has an enormous impact on the world in which we live. Consumers, customers and employees are inundated with information on a daily basis and are becoming increasingly discerning in their wishes and expectations.

How do you ensure that consumers spend their time and money on your product?  bring products and concepts to the attention of international prospects and customers? Marketing is about engaging consumer loyalty for your brand or product, about building and maintaining relationships. Powerful brands are built by listening carefully to your customers and by compiling and analysing the right information. This information is the foundation for your marketing strategy.

This programme looks at answering the above questions, and many more. It has a strong focus on digital marketing

Programme content

The programme offers the following specialisations:

International Marketing

If you want to hold your own in a complex international environment, you need to be enterprising, proactive, sales-oriented and competitive. As part of your course, you will work on developing these skills and will get to apply them in practice directly, including by developing a marketing plan or campaign on your own. In addition, you will also take classes in marketing communications, cross-cultural management and marketing research and will learn to make strategic decisions and defend them to your peers.

Horse Business Management

As part of exploring commercial opportunities in the equestrian world, you will conduct research, go out on several equestrian field trips and organise an equestrian event together with your team. You will study legal and tax aspects affecting the equestrian world and import, export and marketing related to equestrian activities from an international perspective.

International Travel Trade & Event Marketing

What do people mean when they talk about the “experience economy”? You will find out exactly what it means if you take this course. What is the most effective way of creating interaction between inspiring events, experiences and tourism in conjunction with marketing, sales and branding? You will come up with an innovative concept for a particular trip and will translate this into a sales and marketing plan, as well as organise an event for a specific client (based on practical examples). Your subjects will include tourism/sustainable tourism, experience marketing, market research and communications, event marketing, experience economy, management and organisation.
