Programme profile

This programme will furnish you with the knowledge, insight, understanding and skills of Physiotherapy. Graduates of the programme will be able to: carry out a patient assessment; determine whether physiotherapy for this patient is indicated or not; interpret the assessment outcomes and use them to set up a treatment plan; give treatment by using the diverse physiotherapy means; evaluate (the effect of) the treatment; carry out physiotherapy treatment for prevention, care and after care.

A total of almost one year of the study programme is to be spent on doing clinical affiliation and a thesis project. In the fourth year, you will go to two different facilities where you will gain practical experience. Each clinical affiliation has a duration of 15 weeks. During your clinical affiliation you are supervised both by your clinical instructor of the facility and (on distance) by the supervisor of the school. You often have the opportunity to carry out your clinical periods in your own country.
