Programme profile
The building and construction field operates more and more in an international environment. Companies in Europe have become international and focus on international markets. This programme answers the demands required of internationally-focused experts in the construction industry. The objective of this programme is to provide the knowledge and skills needed in working in an international environment. The aim of the programme is to provide steel construction experts or internationally focused project managers and designers. The student can also specialise in environmental technology.
Programme content
In this programme you can choose your major subject and minor subjects from advanced professional modules such as: Steel Construction; Environmental Technology; Double Degree.
In the double degree alternative students study two years in Finland (1st and 3rd) and two in Denmark (2nd and 4th). They will then graduate from HAMK as Engineer and from VIA University College as Constructing Architect.It is also possible to do the minor part of one's studies in several European universities and universities of applied sciences co-operating with HAMK.
Students can select their minor subjects from the other major modules and from the following special minor modules: Environmental Technology; Steel Design; House Building
Progression
The university does not currently offer a related masters programme that is taught through English.
