Programme profile
This programme, run at the Malmo Academy of Music, offers specialised study routes which prepare students for life as professional musicians within all possible areas of the musical world. Teaching schedules are concentrated and intensive and a lot of time is given to instrument and interpretation studies as well as chamber music, ensemble and orchestra practice.
The academic year consists of 40 weeks of which six are spent working intensively on a project led by international guest lecturers and conductors. The first two years of study also include compulsory theoretical courses in subjects such as ear training, music theory and music and society.
Students who want to further develop their knowledge and understanding can study an extra two years to complete one of the Master’s programmes offered by the Academy.
