Are you ready to learn chemistry? At HAN. you follow different theoretical subjects and workshops on analytical chemistry. Working once a week in the lab. Sometimes on your own, sometimes in a group. And developing your professional knowledge and skills.

During the programme, you work on group projects with other Chemistry students. The projects deal with real problems in analytical and organic chemistry.
What's more, HAN collaborates with companies and research institutes in the Netherlands and abroad. This gives you invaluable, relevant work experience in the chemistry field. It also allows you to work on your problem-solving and communication skills. Skills that put you in high demand on the labour market/

1st year
General Chemistry; Analytical Chemistry; Organic Chemistry; Biology; Laboratory Practical; Mathematics; Laboratory Calculations

2nd & 3rd years
Organic Chemistry; Analytical Chemistry; Polymer Chemistry; Laboratory Practical; Work Placement or Minor

4th year
Minor or Work Placement. Graduation Assignment

Minors
You can take your minor at HAN (for example in BioRefinery at the HAN Biocentre) or in a another Dutch university or abroad. You could choose to do your minor, for example, in subjects such as Bionanotechnology or Life Sciences.

 


Entry Requirements


2 A-levels and 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) . Subjects to include Maths and Chemistry. Biology not required but recommended.

Relevant BTEC Level 3 Diploma

Five passes at Leaving Cert (minimum 200 points) OR relevant QQi/FETAC Level 5i. Subjects to Maths and Chemistry.)Biology not required but recommended)
