Programme profile

This programme will familiarise you with business theories, while simultaneously helping you to develop your business skills and analytical thinking. It covers key disciplines like finance, staffing, purchasing, development, strategy and marketing – all in the specific context of cross-border business and multinational corporations.

Mini-internships serving as unique hands-on assignments
Uniquely, students on this programme are set to work in the (international) business sector from the very beginning, with mini-internships serving as hands-on assignments. Company visits, case studies and research in an international company (third year bachelor's thesis) are also included.

Each module revolves around a single, international topic
The programme is presented in a number of theme-based modules. All of the lectures, cases and projects within each module centre on a single, international theme.

Develop your skills as a team player in problem-based project groups
During the programme, you will learn to describe, analyse, design and change the processes and problems of internationally operating companies. The bachelor's programme includes lectures, tutorials and problem-based group projects. These projects are a unique key element in the programme, teaching you to combine disciplines  and cross boundaries, while also developing your skills as a team player.

Programme content

In the first year of your study you will develop an understanding of all important functions within a modern company. After this, you will learn how a company operates in an international environment and go into more detail in different subjects.

In the second year you will go into further detail concerning the different subjects by working on projects and assignments with national and international companies.

In the third year, you will have 30 ECTS (half a year) of free electives. You can choose between additional modules from other university programmes or to study abroad. The latter is what we stimulate our third year students to benefit from. The university has a number of partner universities: you can choose from universities in a variety of countries in Europe but also in Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
