Graduates in this nursing specialist programme will be able to:
- assist patients in using the health care services available to them
- explore the special needs of a patient, make a nursing diagnosis and prioritise required
nursing tasks
- cooperate in planning, developing and implementing health care and social services
- explore and use information and resources necessary to perform nursing tasks appropriately

This programme is based on Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and the European Council’s directive of September 7, 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications.

3 A-levels (grades between A and E) + 3 GCSE (grades between A and C) inc Maths,
Six subjects at Leaving Certificate including at least two 2 at HC3. Subjects to include Maths
