Programme profile
This programme consists of both a theoretical learning path as well as research and professional skills. The theoretical path consists of:
Brain and Cognition: You'll learn how our brain is structured, how it works and supports functions such as locomotion, memory, learning, language and cognition.
Development and Psychopathology: You'll learn which developmental leaps people make during the course of their lives. And you'll learn to recognise psychological disorders in children, adults and elderly, and how to treat these disorders.
Behaviour and Environment: You'll learn how people relate to, and influence one another, for example, within their family, their class, a sports club or at work. You'll also learn how human behaviour and culture/ subcultures affect one another
Entry Requirements
Three A-Levels [Min CCC] plus 3 GCSEs.Maths A2 or A/S [min C] required. Subjects to include Maths. Biology preferred but not required.
Scottish Students are required to have a SQC with 2 Advanced Highers and at least 4 Highers.
Six passes at Leaving Certificate [inc 2 H5]. Ordinary Maths accepted (at O4, or above). Biology preferred but not required. Min 350 points
