Programme profile

The first year of your programme is constituted by an innovative education model at Roskilde: "Basic Studies": which is a broad introduction to social sciences.

In this year, you make important choices about the course content you follow: through your choices of courses and project topics, you decide to an extent which areas of the social sciences you want to focus on. From the start, you can obtain a highly specialised professional profile or a more broad and basic access to social sciences, where you gradually sharpen your profile in to a specialisation in your third year.

In your second and third years, you study two subjects, of your own choosing. It is those two specialisation subjects that you study in depth and take your bachelor degree in. You can combine two subjects in Social Sciences or combine a subject in Social Sciences with a subject in Humanities or Natural Sciences. This gives you the possibility of a unique interdisciplinary study in Social Sciences, creating the best correlation with your professional interests and your future employment opportunities.

You can specialise in two of the following:

- International Relations
- Business Studies
- Business Administration

The university offers a related Masters programme, taught through English, in the following area:

- Economics and Business Administration
- Global Studies
- Business Studies and Computer Science
- Business Studies and Cultural Encounters
