UCSC’s Medicine & Surgery degree is taught at its Medical School, well-established as a leader nationally and in the QS top 200 for subject rankings (Medicine)
The degree integrates the learning objectives of European and US curricula: it is designed to be a programme recognised for professional practice in the EU as well as one that helps students to prepare for the United States Medical Licensing Examination Step 1 and Step 2.One of the key features of the programme is the full integration of basic and clinical sciences, through a multidisciplinary approach and the early involvement of students in patient management, including the moral and ethical responsibilities of the medical profession.
The “A. Gemelli” University Hospital is ranked first for the number of national non-profit clinical trials performed in Italy and third for non-profit drug experiments. The Hospital is considered one of the best Italian Hospitals admitting patients not only from Rome and Lazio. It treats the highest number of oncology patients amongst all hospitals in Italy.

Entry Requirements
Students are required to have 3 A levels and 3 GCSEs. A-Levels to include Life Science subjects.
Students are required to have Leaving Certificate with at least 6 subjects, two at H4 or above, including Life Science Subjects.
