Programme profile

This programme  introduces students to fundamentals of psychology and teaches basic principles of other disciplines, such as humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Some of the areas of study include: social, cognitive, developmental, economic and personality psychology. Furthermore, students learn statistics and research methodology and can choose a few elective modules aligned with their interests.

Programme content

The programme comprises the following thematic areas: behavioral studies, conflict resolution and management, mind-communication-technology, and cross-cultural psychology

Behavioural Studies
This area focuses on the comprehensive use of empirically validated principles of learning to develop, implement, and evaluate practical strategies that enhance the abilities and self-direction skills of children and adults in community, home, and educational settings.

Cross-Cultural Psychology

This theme examines how cultural factors influence human behavior. Cultural psychologists study cultural diversity and apply solutions in environments, such as multicultural societies, multicultural schools and universities, and international business.

Conflict Resolution and Management are crucial to social interactions in families, communities, organizations and international relations. Conflict dynamics, if well managed, are an essential part of social change and foster adaptive social processes. The theory and practice of conflict resolution are based on models of conflict dynamics and are focused on processes of conflict management, such as negotiation, mediation and coaching techniques.

The Mind-Communication-Technology focuses on visual communication, which can be understood as transmission of information and ideas using symbols and imagery. The visual communication module aims to help students understand the process of visual perception along with psychological and cultural aspects of creating images and communicating by visual means.
