Profile
As part of the the University of Iași, the Faculty of Medicine was founded in 1879. The faculty became an independent institute in 1948, offering programmes in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. In 1991, it was renamed the "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy. It is dicvided into four divisions: Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Biomedical Engineering.
Currently, it has 12,000 plus students.
