Programme profile

This programme brings together hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge and blends it with personal development so that you become an entrepreneur , or intrapreneur, with the skills to work in any environment. You'll develop expertise in consumer behaviour, delve into international e-commerce and foster a global mindset. Our bachelor of science degree immerses you in practical challenges, develops your understanding of the daily obstacles faced by retailers and entrepreneurs, and gives you insights into how retail organisations become successful. You explore subjects ranging from finance and human resource management to strategy and change management.

In this programme, you’ll develop an entrepreneurial mindset and cultivate expertise in consumer behaviour, international e-commerce, sustainable business and the business-to consumer market. Gaining insights into the success of organisations such as Amazon, Apple, Tesco, Ahold Delhaize, Ikea and Zara, you’ll explore topics such as finance, marketing, human resource management and change management from an international point of view.

If your ambition is to run your own company, then this degree gives you the knowledge and skills you need wherever you end up in the world  – and you get to establish your own start-up company from day one.

In your third year, you take a minor subject either at one of the NHL locations in Thailand, South Africa or Bali, or through an exchange programme to one of over 170 partner universities of applied sciences.
