Programme profile
The fundamental educational objective is to impart theoretical knowledge and technical competences required to practice dentistry in accordance with the common standards of EU dentistry schools.
Programme content
The first two years of the course include the study of the fundamentals of the structural organization and vital functions of the human body and includes courses that address issues related to the dentist-patient relationship and the understanding of the underlying principles of scientific methodology.
Years three to five include the study of disciplines of medical, surgical and specialist interest , with particular reference to clinical problems related to dental pathologies, semeiotics of the oral cavity, neuromuscular disorders of the head and neck and oral manifestations. The training activities take place at the same time as the study of dental disciplines and the professionalizing clinical internship .
The sixth year of the course iprovides for a professionalizing didactic activity aimed at treating patients with odontostomatological problems. The seminar lectures provided are mainly aimed at the interdisciplinary discussion of assigned clinical cases.
