Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus was established in 1991. It is a small, internationally recognised technical university dedicated to teaching and research.
At present, BTU Cottbus has 6.500 students, of which some 900 are international students. The university offers a state-of-the-art learning environment, with new teaching and lab facilities equipped with ultramodern equipment.
The University has four faculties: Natural Sciences, Architecture, Engineering and Environmental Sciences.
