Founded in 1994, Deggendorf Institute of Technology [DIT] is consistently ranked [see Karriere rankings ] amongst Germany’s top Universities of Applied Sciences.The university currently has 5200 undergraduate and postgraduate students, studying in five faculties: Business Administration and Business Informatics, Civil and Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Media Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Natural Sciences and Industrial Engineering.

DIT has recently built a new high-tech 'European Campus' in Pfarrkirchen, which hosts a range of programmes related to the Health & Medical sector, including its English-taught bachelor programmes.
