City profile

Kolding is a port located at the head of Kolding Fjord in Southern Denmark. With a population of nearly 60,000, it is the seventh largest city  in Denmark. It is a transportation, commercial, and manufacturing centre, and has numerous industrial companies, principally geared towards shipbuilding.

Kolding dates back to around 1200 and is beautifully situated at the mouth of Kolding Bay. It calls itself one of Denmark's friendliest towns. A medieval castle towers over vibrant parks that bloom with flowers and medicinal spices. The SlotssøBadet, an extraordinary waterpark, is very popular.
