Ostrava is a city in the north-east of the Czech Republic, just 15 km from the border with Poland, located at the meeting point of four rivers.
Since the 1990s Ostrava has been transformed, from a centre of heavy industry (largely steel and coal) into a modern cultural city, with numerous theatres, galleries and other cultural facilities, where regular concerts and sporting events provide ample opportunity to relax and enjoy your life a student.
