This programme  focuses on the latest developments in international marketing, media and communication. It equips you with a blend of professional skills highly desired by employers in creative industries such as advertising, media and entertainment, design, music, publishing, gaming, fashion and IT, but also in other organisations – commercial and non-profit – and consultancies. Along the way you learn how to manage the commercial power of creativity, to think strategically and conceptually and to find innovative ways to solve the challenges of today’s international creative business

Year 1:
Professional Landscape;Humanities; Marketing Principles; Digital Media Design; Principles of Communication; Research Lab & Methods; Media Culture; Corporate Communication; Creativity; Consumer Behaviour

Year 2:
Technology: Cross-Media Fundamentals; Data Storytelling; International Creative Business; Entrepreneurship; Human-Centred Design; Intercultural Communication; Global Work; Two elective courses, from: Exploring Cultural Differences, Participatory Cultures, Branding Fundamentals, Managing Creatives, Interactive Experiences, Framing the Media, Advanced Marketing and Influencing Your Audiences.

Year 3:
your third year offers you the option to study abroad for a semester or take an international work placement. All students must spend at least six months in a non-native environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to explore and prepare for your chosen career

Year 4:
you focus on the current needs of the creative industries worldwide. At present (and these, of course, can change) these include such topics as deep data and data telling, creative content and briefing, advanced design thinking, the customer journey and brand personas, internal and external branding, innovative organisational cultures, corporate reputation and strategic vision and communications

The university doesn't currently offer a related Masters programmes, taught through English

Entry Requirements


2 x A/S Levels plus 4 x GCSE (Grades A-C) OR relevant BETEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

Five passes at Leaving Cert (minimum 200 points) OR relevant QQi/FETAC Level 5. Subjects to include Maths.
