Programme profile


Optometrists are able to utilise their optic, optometric, measuring and clinical knowledge gained during this programme, conduct the examination and correction of the eye individually and prescribe optical aids (eyeglasses, contact lenses) with the aim of attaining the optimal visual acuity in patients.

Graduates are able
to estimate the refractive medium, refractive ability, errors of refraction, the way eye muscles function, and abilities in heterophoria and convergence. They will understand binocular vision, the chamber of the eye, crystalline lens, vitreous humour and ocular tension.

Ocular Anatomy, Ophthalmic Pathology, Practice in the Demonstration Room, Ophthalmic Optics, Prescribing Eyeglasses, Contactology, Clinical Ophthalmology, Physiology and Pathology of Binocular Vision, Ophthalmic Technology, Basic of the Optometrist Profession, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Optical Materials and Manufacturing Technology
