Glion is an institution of higher education, which offers programmes in the fields of Hospitality Management & Tourism as well as in Event, Sport and Entertainment Management, in English and French. Is has a total student population 1626 on its two campuses (Glion and Bulle). The first of its Hotel Schools as opened in Glion in the 1960's in th exceptional Grand Hotel Bellevue. It has since grown to be one of the leading hotel schools in the world.
In 2002, Glion became part of Laureate International Universities a division of Laureate Education, Inc. Laureate operates universities worldwide in Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, France, Germany, Honduras, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, Spain and Turkey. More than 5,000 students worldwide receive Hospitality Education in these schools.
In Switzerland, Laureate Hospitality Education coordinates the provision of the sister schools Glion Institute of Higher Education, Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and Les Roches-Gruyere University of Applied Sciences.
