Kristianstad University[HKR], a university college, was established in 1977 as one of the Sweden’s “new universities. HKR currently has a student body of about 14000 students following some 40 undergradaute and postgraduate programmes on its two campuses, in Kristianstad and Hassleholm. [Hassleholm is 20 minutes by train from Kristianstad.]
HKR provides education in Educational Sciences, Natural, Social and Environmental Sciences, Food, Health, and Nursing Care, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work, Computer Sciences, Design, and Engineering, Economics and Human Resources
