Linköping University (LiU)  was granted university status in 1975 and today has over 27,000 students and 4,000 employees. Global university rankings consistently place LiU as a leading university. The university is home to several world-class research environments, for instance in materials science, bioelectronics and information technology.

LiU offers 26 master's programmes taught entirely in English, in various subject areas and, in 2018, launched its first international bachelor programme.
